might be tempting to see him as an ESTP due to the fact that he is very opinionated and rough around the edges—thanks to ESTP type 7 stereotypes—but the Fi hints are everywhere. his morals are his own and he mainly uses Fe to criticize others/himself, which are big hallmarks of ExFP characters! jounouchi displays and discusses his emotions constantly, despite being a “you gotta toughen up” kind of guy. there’s almost nothing about his feelings that aren’t engaged in or telegraphed!! including how he feels about his sister, the regrettable decisions he makes, and his connection to his friends. jou never really thinks things through, either. he has no Ti process at all compared to true ESTPs like mai. it’s not actually that he’s stupid, it’s that he’s backhanded-sensible like many ExFP characters!! lots of straightforward, blunt thoughts. all of his observations/realizations feel very on-the-nose or fact based! we can even spot him looping Se-Te when he deals with kaiba! ignoring his Fi awareness or put himself in the others’ shoes and instead deciding that kaiba is bad no matter what, like it’s a plain fact based on physical experience.
