An ISFJ king with an ESFJ persona as Superman. ***Spoilers ahead*** In this movie, Clark's entire reason for being who he is, at least in his mind, is the message from his Kryptonian parents that he was sent to Earth for good. This informs his value system and he sticks to it like glue. When he feels defeated he listens to the message over and over again for comfort, reassuring him of his sense of self. Then, when he learns his Kryptonian parents actually intended for him to conquer Earth and become a ruler, it shatters his entire Si-Fe framework and we see his inferior Ne take over. He is blind to the concept that his Kryptonian parents were always just a 30 second clip and that his actions come from his goodness, and the guidance of his "true" parents, Ma and Pa Kent. Instead, he gets incredibly insecure and uncomfortable because his clear inner understanding of his life and his internal routine has been shaken (Dominant Si clashing with inferior Ne). It takes revisting Ma and Pa Kent to remind him of his real moral foundation and suddenly his dominant Si is reassured. He realises that all along he WAS following his parents moral code: the code of his "real" parents, the ones who raised him. Then at the end of the movie, we see that once again he is revisting this touchstone again and again, but it's Ma and Pa Kent. They are informing his Si-Fe framework now and giving him the blueprint for the man he wants to be. While he projects the helpful, warm demeanor typical of an ESFJ, his internal processing and value system suggest an reliance on personal history and internal consistency = ISFJ. But could he be an INFP?: The only real case of him showing Fi was him standing firm in his decision to interfere in the war without consulting anyone. But I think this is just more him being comfortable in his Si code and summing it all up to "Lives were in danger, I helped. I did the thing my parents send me here for, I was good, that's all that matters." Every other decision he makes is with others in mind first, what upholds the greater good, what minimises conflict (he tries to be a neutral figure that everyone can count on), and what will make him feel like he is living up to his parents image of him (all external value systems = Fe). (As a side note, I absolutely adore Corenswet's Superman and this movie genuinely healed a part of me that's been broken for so long. This is what the world needs right now. Props to everyone who worked on this movie!)
