Played by Chris O'Donnell, "G." Callen (born: Grisha Aleksandrovich Nikolaev) is an NCIS SAC and is the senior agent assigned to the LA office. He has a long, complicated history. His mother was killed by a Romanian crime family when he was young, he was separated from his sister and put in the foster care system never really knowing his own name (apart from his first initial) or his father, bounced from home to home constantly (37 homes between age 5-18), and was seemingly groomed from a young age using the same methods in the USSR to become some sort of government agent.
