Damn it, why are there so many INFJ votes!? And also, why not 8w9? -For those who have no idea, Artemis did NOT choose to remain a virgin to represent the image of that righteous maid as Hestia, but rather for similar reasons to Athena's those. On short, she wanted to remain a strong and wild goddess, without depending on any man in any way. Orion was, I suppose, her only exception to the mere fact that they were both working like equals - but he was killed anyway, so it doesn't matter! And that was just to make a delimitation between the ISTP and INFJ votes... -Her inferior Fe is so evident in so many myths, it almost hurts! I am fully aware that all the gods had episodes of anger or cruelty, but after she turned a man into a stag and then let him be flayed by his dogs just because he saw her naked, killed all the children of a woman along with her brother because she insulted her mother and frightened an entire city with a wild boar for the simple fact that a king forgot to bring her offerings - along with other acts of brutality that I can't count at this moment - you just start wondering if this woman actually had a hint of empathy at all. -Artemis helped Leto giving birth to Apollo... even though she was only nine days old back then. Technically, she grew up rapidly in a short time and was already capable enough to do that! If this is not 8w9, then I don't know what else it could be! Besides, are we all going to deny the fact that she is THE Classic Tomboy? Really!?
Biografia
Artemis (pronounced ar-teh-miss), goddess of hunting and wild beasts, is the twin sister of Apollo, daughter of Zeus and the titan Leto and the patron (or rather, matron) of hunters and huntresses. She appears as a young woman in rustic clothing, always carrying a bow and sword. In addition to her normal titles, she is also sometimes called "noisy Artemis" because of her loud hunting calls. Artemis generally remains aloof from mortals, though she enjoys the company of nymphs and dryads. She's also far more happy in the company of dogs and wild animals than in that of her fellow deities. She's the closest thing the pantheon has to a savage; she disdains civilization and its trappings in favor of nature and the wild. But she hunts only to fill her belly or feed someone else, never for sport. Artemis is a maiden goddess, neither keeping nor encouraging lovers. Though other deities occasionally pursue her and try to win her over, she doesn't favor any of them. Even those who can hunt as well as she can (or better) don't stand a chance; like the other Olympians, she refuses to acknowledge a better in her chosen field. Artemis loves the rugged life of a huntress. Except for helping women during childbirth, she avoids involving herself in any other human matters. She values her privacy, and will severely punish any man violating it. Omens from Artemis are always delivered by wild beasts.
