“klaus likes to prepared for when something goes wrong.” ESFP voters, how can you be oblivious to his very evident Ni. he uses Te in such colossal amounts that there’s no way this is not his dominant function. ESxPs aren’t the only ones that are action-oriented, Te with tertiary Se is quite action oriented, especially since its te only further amplifies the se drive to get things done faster. his Ni is blatantly self-evident, the primal reason why klaus was made out to be this formidable creature was because he always one step ahead of other people. they were petrified of him because he was always cognizant of their next steps. if he were an Se dom, this would’ve not been feasible. Se works in the moment, so it would’ve been very onerous for an Se dom to do this. Ni is great at predicting what happens in the future. Just look at when damon was made out to be the antagonist, he wasn’t made out to be formidable because he was one step ahead of others, he was made out to be formidable because he did things without thinking of the repercussions, and was impulsive (Se). even though both klaus, and damon are both 8w7s. klaus is the antithesis of that, he was feared for his judicial plans, and for being one step ahead of other people. you are cognizant that tertiary functions have pretty high usage, right? if you scrutinize klaus’ actions more closely, you’ll realize that albeit his Se is high, it works simultaneously with his Ni. his Ni has been made evident a myriad of times, and if you can’t see it, then you’re just deliberately disregarding this function. In the originals, all he cared about was his and his daughter’s future. every single one of his logic and arguments referenced the future. an Se dom’s argument would referenced the present instead of the future. and the arguments for his fi auxiliary are the epitome of ludicrous. they’re your subjective interpretations of klaus’ actions. “he wanted to become a hybrid because he wanted to be in touch with his identity.” NO. he wanted to become a hybrid solely because he craved power, he wanted to be in control, he desired to be the most formidable creature out there, he himself stated this. this was never about his identity. if it were his Fi, then when in the originals he found out about the descendants of his real father’s family, and was offered to get to know more about his real family by elijah, and rebekah. he wouldn’t have blatantly denied it. he couldn’t care less about them. that there epitomizes why this is not about his identity. if it were, he would’ve wanted to learn more about his father. And let’s not forget, he killed his werewolf father, so this is definitely not about his identity. Ni likes to have one clear consensus, and one clear goal in mind. this is the paragon of klaus, his primal goal has always been to become a hybrid, and amplify his power. he always has one goal in his mind, to protect his daughter etc. In one of the first episodes of the originals, klaus apprised rebecca all about his plans that were solely comprised off of Ni and Te, and extrapolated based off of what impact they will have on the future. This is not how dominant Se and inferior Ni work. if you think this is inferior Ni, then you need to make yourself conversant with cognitive functions because you’re clearly misinformed. his Fi is only evident in cases where he is distressed. klaus always endeavors to refrain from adding his emotions into matters, and his main goal has always been to amplify his power. look at rebecca, klaus deplores how rebecca always lets her feelings drive her. they antithesize each other. klaus also despises how emotionally driven elijah is, and constantly calls him a sentimental fool. inferior functions are only utilized in distressed situations, these are the only times klaus made his inferior fi evident. all of those scenes used to extrapolate an argument for his “aux fi” is when he was in distress. distressed situations are the worst way to decipher someone’s type. and just because he’s selfish, and self-involved, that’s synonymous to him having fi. this has to be a farce. being egocentric isn’t exclusive to any type, any fe dom can be selfish, and manipulate other people for their own benefit. this is not how typing is done. please don’t waste your time pioneering more inane arguments for ESFP, because he’s not one.
