ESTP is quite obvious. Sonic is primarily concerned with his impulses and sense of oneness with the world around him. Always in tune with his sensations and gut feelings about the present reality of things. He is full of energy and always ready for action. His Ti shows in the way he says things exactly as they are. He doesn’t sugarcoat the truth, he inspects things with precision and can easily pick up when people are being dishonest about how their words line up with reality. His Fe is an integral part of his personality as well. He is highly attentive to the feelings of others,sometimes to the point of coming off like a stereotypical ENFJ that comes to the rescue whenever someone is in need. In unleashed his Fe was particularly noticeable in his relationship to chip. He was always very interested in and attentive to making sure that Chip felt understood and that his needs were met. Inferior Ni is also quite noticeable in his personality. It shows in how he jumps into situations without thinking about the consequences, choosing to let things happen as they happen. Often he his impulsivity gets him into situations that he could’ve avoided by not being so reckless, but his ability to stay present and optimistic is his greatest super power as he can easily create and capitalize on opportunities that other people would miss. But honestly if you look at the City Escape lyrics it’s pretty much the Se dom 7w8 anthem. Sonic as a 7w8 is also quite noticeable. He hates missing out on opportunities and has a tendency to get too carried away in his pursuit of fun. He can often have trouble saying no ti his impulses for stimulating activities, going too far and leaving highly destructive collateral damage. The wing 8 is quite apparent as well, he doesn’t like when people tell him what to do, and has a tendency to be defiant and confrontational when people try to monitor his impulse to have fun. As for his instinctual variants he was largely a sx/so throughout the 90s, always ideating about the opportunities and the next big thing. He was not a type that was content with present reality, even though as an Se dom he is usually fully immersed in the present, but Sonic would often be ideating about opportunities that are more favorable than his present reality, lying on the ground bored with thoughts about high speed fantastic situations. However, during the 2000s era he became more so/sx, very worried about making sure his gluttonous attitude was tempered for a more altruistic purpose. This showed in Sonic Unleashed and 06 in particular. He was highly social and attuned to justice. Concerned about doing right by others and monitoring his impulses. In Sonic X I would say that he was sx/so, he was a bit more oriented around destructive fun. But honestly I feel like it can often be either or and still work. His tritype is likely 793 7w8 9w8 3w2. 9w8 because Sonic is very concerned with having peace of mind and establishing a connection with reality. Definitely not 8 because he could care less about control for the sake of control and obviously not a 1 lol. 3w2 because he is highly competitive, whenever there is a situation or opportunity to test himself, he never passes it up. Wing 2 as he really isn’t concerned about his individuality but to helping others. Sanguine-Choleric I think will fit his personality though. Somic is highly sociable but when things need to get done he is the one who takes charge to make things happen. His wing 8 comes out and he can be a great leader. After foiling the doc's plans, Sonic would then make it his business to do in whatever Evil Plan the doc cooked up, establishing their long rivalry. Over time, Sonic has faced bigger and larger threats alike while making a whole slew of allies along the way. Sonic is described as like the wind; unpredictable, and always moving from place to place and never settling down for long. Laid-back, carefree, and armed with a wit as sharp as his quills and an ego to match.
