"Jaki typ osobowości jest {profilename}? {profilename} jest typem osobowości {mbti} w mbti, {enneagram} - {iv} - {tritype} w enneagram, {big5} w Big 5, {sociionics} in Socionics."
These directors probably knew about MBTI because this man is an ESFP through and through. He literally can't be ANY other type. It's literally impossible. I hate to pin objective judgments, but you're actually wrong if you think he's anything else lmao His stack is probably the easiest to figure out in the entire movie. His Monarchic focus is obvious against Freeman's completely Democratic character. I'll list his functions one by one to make it even clearer that ESFP is the objectively correct answer lmao Se dom: Pitt's character judges things entirely based on its immediate context and instinctive conclusions. He is very genuine. In fact, way too genuine in every move he makes. His body doesn't fake anything, and he is constantly being himself with no chains. The reason as to why he's ESFP and not ISFP is because of his Inferior Ni. Ni Inferior: Pitt's character only cares about the surface level problems in the case. He completely and spectacularly fails to meaningfully interrogate John Doe in the car because his Ni is at the complete backbone of his stack. This is very well contrasted against John, who's an INFJ. Very often he criticizes him for being cryptic and a mysticist doused on the big picture and responds simply with "Bro you killed people you're crazy" "You'll understand everything. Trust me. You'll understand EVERYTHING..." "Can the freak be any more vague?" Not to mention his self awareness is next to zero and he doesn't think things through like at all, as evidenced by the end of the movie, where he succumbs to his instincts and ignores the potential consequences for his actions. Auxiliary Fi and Tertiary Te: As I said in the Somerson page, it is very easily evidenced in both the bar and car scenes. Freeman's character is a considerably concealed INTP that holds in its judgment Ti-Fe. He does what he believes to be the greater good, regardless of his opinion and personal bias on the matter (Fe), and since he has a balanced use of both Ti and Si, still showing preference of a impartial logical judgment (Ti) over a value-centric one (Fe), then yeah. He's INTP. Pitt's character however, unlike Freeman's categorizes and divides people (Fi-Te), instead of looking at all of them having equal value through a personal logical lens (Ti-Fe). To him, there are sane and insane people and he sees people for the individual, not for the whole thing. He differs people who harm the world and people who wanna help, instead of globalizing his values to equalize external morals between the public like Freeman's character does. For those who don't know, Fi is responsible for seeing each individual for their unique self expression and Te is responsible for externalizing and categorizing logical definitions to attribute to these different people, such as normal or insane, transforming those individual judgments into categories to help him differ his judgment for everyone he sees. "I know what you want with that schtick. All you want is for me to agree with you and say you're right. But, I won't. Alright? I disagree with you. That's just how it is."
