I don't see the kind of confidence or connection with her surroundings that I would expect from an Se dom, she comes across very much like a quintessential xNFP. I'm even tempted to vote her as an introvert, she seems pretty shy. If you look at her live performances, she looks pretty disconnected from the audience and her surroundings as well. She just closes her eyes and sings her heart out, and then opens her eyes and looks at the audience with this nervous face of "Did they like it?". Except with the performances where she's obviously high out of her mind... and that was quite often. But I think we should go with the interviews more because the stage persona of an artist might be different than their real personality.

Janis Lyn Joplin (January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970), nicknamed "Pearl", was an American rock, soul and blues singer and songwriter, and one of the most successful and widely-known female rock stars of her era. After releasing three albums, she died of a heroin overdose at the age of 27. A fourth album, Pearl, was released in January 1971, just over three months after her death. It reached number one on the Billboard charts.
