Where are even the arguments for INTP? This guy is xSTP, but ISTP makes more sense which is probably why he can understand Kaneki at some levels. Not just his life principle is basically showing Se, but his relationship with Uta should tell you that both of them are very similar (ISFP-ISTP). They both rely on Ni in understanding the relationships between ghouls and humans, while Uta is seeing it from all-pessimistic view, Renji sees it from a more balanced view, grounded, but a hopeful one for a positive outlook.
