Has ILE been considered for Sethos’s Socionics type? Some things stood out as very Ne while reading Sethos’s lore. Socionics is about how information is selected and processed; in Sethos’s character stories and voice lines, he seems to be primarily occupied with new ideas and knowledge he can find. His interest in people stems from his fascination with the experiences and perspectives they offer. He has a constant curiosity for the sake of gaining new insight with no concrete goal or use. While his role demands some regard for definitive rules and certain boundaries of thought, he displays that very Ne trait of wanting to take in all the information available from a multitude of sources, across different fields and topics, yet places little value in real or productive application of it—he simply likes to collect new information. His interest in the Akademiya and diversity of Sumeru City shows this. He doesn’t devalue or disregard even seemingly useless tidbits or stories so long as he finds them interesting or helpful in understanding a subject. Sethos prefers to play as an errand-boy, guide, or traveler and spend his free time going wherever he sees potential to learn and experience new things (Story 2 really reminds me of Venti and Kaeya in particular—especially Kaeya’s hangout). He likes solving others’ trivial problems and accepting the rewards, though to him, interacting with people is what he cares for most (this could be Fe or Ne support depending on how it's interpreted). What strikes me as less leading Se is how he doesn’t feel the need to “make things happen” and prefers to mess around with situations just to see where they lead. He focuses more on the process and often doesn’t care for the result. He values possibility and freedom of thought more than action, going where a situation takes him. Even when he's mobilizing people towards a goal, it tends to be by directing them through their own curiosity, or just by presenting them with new insight for them to choose how to approach while he steps back to observe. “Some of my elders say I'm difficult to control [...] don't you think it's kind of an issue that they'd want to control how other people think in the first place?” Ne is all about possibility, considering new viewpoints and reconciling perspectives. They accumulate information but don’t dismiss what doesn’t fit their established mental layout of thought and opinion, nor do they like to discard ideas that could potentially hold value. Sethos has that one line about how watching people argue over which god granted someone's Vision is a guilty pleasure of his, and that he finds the exchange of conflicting views interesting despite there being no real way to reach a conclusion. “In Sethos's telling, suffering is merely another kind of experience, and all experiences can become stories.” - another example of how everything he perceives holds value as abstract tools of thought. Maybe I’ll make a more in-depth analysis later but I wanted to toss out the ILE possibility.
