She’s the most ESTP character I’ve seen in a while. First of all, we don’t see a lot of ESTP characters that deviate from the normal “haha chad, tough guy” ESTP, and I like that (not saying there aren’t any, it was just a nice change). I’m always happy when a character doesn’t look like their stereotypical MBTI type. Either way, I don’t know why Se vs Ne is even being debated, it’s very clear she’s a Se user. The whole thing of them finding her talent, in the beginning, looks like Se, what with the hands-on approach, she’s good at hands-on learning, something much more Se than Ne. Her whole thing of disliking the idea of living because what she’s seen of the world she doesn’t like is more Se than Ne, she isn’t excited about the new possibilities, she’s disappointed about what she finds around her. People seem to be saying that Sensors can’t be deep or philosophical, and like, it’s 2021, can we please get past that? Like, she’s stuck with her Se-Ni summing everything up as useless, her Ti needs a reason, some purpose, but she can’t find it, that is, until it’s said that experiencing the world is the reason for living, to just live. I’m sorry this movie gave me such an existential crisis, to find out there’s no need for purpose when it’s something you’ve been looking for for your entire life, it hit the characters hard, and it hit me hard too. The message is such a Se message, to experience the world is the reason to live, to enjoy it. 22’s character is so, just, agh, it makes so much sense why she is the way that she is, and her character development, I just love it all. Sorry if I rambled more than making a point, I had a hard time expressing exactly what I’m thinking. This entire movie is a love letter to high Se users, especially ones struggling with their Ni, I don’t see people talk about the complexities and problems that come with low/inferior Ni enough.
