I just read an article about combating coronavirus, stating that more than 80% of Chinese people trust the government, in comparison to about 40% in Germany. (This is a general poll, not focused on covid-19.) I am not exactly shocked, but still, it's kinda worrying and weird if this is accurate. It probably indicates that people are mostly satisfied with the economy and everything, which is good, but the overwhelming majority trusting the government isn't exactly beneficial for the citizens or society imo. The nationalism, blind loyalty and authoritarian tendency in my home country lately is making me uneasy. No offense to Chinese people. I would be offending myself, so it doesn't work.
