I see the Si vs Ni arguments in the comments, as an INTJ coming from an almost entirely ISTJ family I think we are both equally as prefectionists, just in different ways. Si like routines, which can be associated with perfectionism. The ISTJs in my life tend to always need to have designated places to put each of their belongings and always organise their things. They also tend to strive for academic perfection. So, imo they match the dictionary definition of prefectionism pretty well. Ni on the other hand are "big picture" ppl. They handle detailed information like bookkeeping and thus prefer understanding the root cause. Because they are not detail oriented, they can be misinterpreted as less perfectionist. BUT THATS WRONG AND IM THE BIGGEST CASE STUDY. like i literally cannot memorise the intricacies of a concept until i understand it 100%.
