i really did NOT expect there to be so many ESTP votes... wtf? did we really watch the same thing?? literally the whole point of the show is korra figuring out her fi identity as the avatar & dealing with all the bad guys while defending her own personal values. i mean really... just go watch the show. korra makes almost *every single decision* using personal morals & feelings (as in fi). she actually doesn't make decisions using rationalized subjective logic. korra ALWAYS does what she *feels* is right. (& don't forget, we're talking SUBJECTIVE personalized inner morals & feelings. korra always does what SHE feels is the right thing. she doesn't base her morals off of outside societal beliefs either, the way a fe user would. someone with fi doesn't give a flying F about what may be objectively right or wrong according to society - though technically-speaking fi users will still usually align with society at least for the most part, which i would argue is probably because of having a lot of those morals internalized throughout childhood when being taught right from wrong as a kid.) the reason korra comes off as such a supposed ti user is actually because she's an e8, which makes her appear really brutish when combined with that se-te combo. ESFP's are super cute & all but like people forget that literally the only 2 ways they extrovert to the world is through se & te. there is absolutely NO way korra actually has ti-fe. she's actually not very technically logical (in the way a high ti user would be; she doesn't deconstruct logic to understand the actual system through a subjective lens), which is a *lot* like aang in that sense. difference is, aang had dom ne & was a pacifist, while korra is a dom se user & very apt to using her se-te to kind of "bully" (i use that term lightly) people in a way. but their similarities do make sense since they both share the aux fi & tert te axis. korra is actually very much in tune with her own inner, personal morals & feelings. she always considers what *she* personally feels is right or wrong for any given situation. what she struggles with is figuring out her own personal fi identity, as well as her fi identity tied to being the avatar. she literally spent her whole life knowing she was the avatar, with unimaginable expectations placed upon her from an extremely young age. & while she's more than happy to get out there & actually DO her duty (a la se), she's so used to being the avatar (not just *korra*) that she struggles with balancing that with her personal self. like seriously guys... where the hell does korra ACTUALLY use fe?? where the hell does she ACTUALLY use ti??? yall are confusing her personality & her enneagram with her functions. oh yeah, also, part of korra's whole conflict with mako is that she's a fi-te user & he's a ti-fe user. (& they're both not the greatest at communicating, so they misunderstand each other. just look at their arguments at the beginning of season 2.) korra focuses on her own subjective values & utilizes objective logic as a means of supporting her se-fi. in contrast, mako structures his entire world around his subjective logic, & while he does struggle with acknowledging & adhering to collective values (due to his inf fe) he still has an awareness of them & a deep desire/struggle to reconcile with them. korra actively disregards fe values because of fe not being in her stack at all - & yet people want to say that she has MORE fe than mako? that's hilarious. [update: i originally posted this some 11 months earlier but ended up editing it to fix a few things & add in some extra information - cause i just discovered this is somehow the most upvoted argument on korra's page & figured i oughta tweak it to make it stronger lol]
