i tend to analyze types before i look for answers in pdb i couldn't grasp why her actions looked motivated by empathy and trying meet expectations (fe), but at the same time shows a lot of rationality, analyses and stuff like "to show that it was not in vain that they saved me" (strong t??) i guessed that she is ISFJ with good Ti function then but then i saw this page.... oh my god ISTJ is really explaining everything my understanding of her actions were completely wrong, her "to show that it was not in vain that they saved me" is her inner moral compass (fi) that was created by her Te-understanding of Heiter's words her aux-Te explain her rationality, even explain to me why she didn't want to read about the history of magic despite she was asked to... she saw no relevance in it. also her way to learn things seems very si-te too she often tries to act efficient and try to comprehend with things by facts and reasons (si-te) (she asks frieren about reasons for interest in magic and spells, as she tries to understand its relevence. fern showed then on her own example aka past experience why it makes sense and she somehow understands this answer) (even her reasons for learning magic was very pragmatic...! it was tool to satisfy her moral desires (reason for living <- heiter's expectation) and way to follow frieren)
Biografia
Fern is the young mage apprentice of Frieren and accompanies her as a member of her party. She is an orphaned war refugee originally from the Southern Lands, later adopted by Heiter and placed under Frieren's care after his death. (via Frieren wiki)
