Theory of Ice
The Theory of Ice is a theory about ice but it is also about personality The variations in ice are caused by the pressure used to form them, measured by gigapascal (GPa). The more pressure an ice is formed under, the more trauma a person with that ice type would have been exposed to during adolescence or childhood. For example: Most Ice IV forms at 0.81 GPa, which is average compared to other phases. A person with ice type IV will be mildly traumatized. Ice IV can be formed at higher pressures than just 0.81 (usually it’s 0.81-1.2), matter of fact, most ice can be formed between a few different GPas, and that will change certain qualities about the ice. That’s where trauma subtypes (TST for short) come in. Ice III, for example, is formed at 0.3 GPa. As it gains pressure, it will become more compact. To translate that to psychology terms, they either have more pent up trauma, or they’re distressed and about to experience a stress switch (which you’ll learn about later).
