I genuinely don't see how he's an 8, don't get me wrong, he definitely shows some 8ish traits, but he definitely doesn't exhibit the 8s cravings for power/control, intenseness and especially not their anger. 8s are gut types and they react to their anger by directly expressing it, which I just don't see in him at all. In fact he seems to be much more prone to avoiding negative feelings like that by displaying his over the top eccentric persona! I'd argue he's a 7 - a head type that is prone to doing just that. Pushing down negative emotions and distracting themselves from it! He fits the motivations of 7s (avoiding pain and anxiety) a lot more than those of 8s (pushing down insecurity and staying in control) as well. 7s are also more prone to a bunch of behaviour he exhibits than 8s are, such as lightening tension with jokes (like when he, right after talking a kid out of suicide, immediately turns it into a magic trick and then walk away laughing) And while both types are assertive in their own way, 7s are more future oriented and achieve what they want through subtle manipulation rather than straightforward confrontation like 8s would. Just look at how he got what he wanted from Miko - he didn't directly ask her to bring Hana to the mountain or explain the situation, but rather made her want to come with him by using her lack of knowledge to his advantage I do get the 8 votes and I definitely think he has an 8 wing, but him being a gut type just doesn't seem right to me at all. Would love to hear some other perspectives on this though :D
