We all know that the point 5 on the enneagram suffers from an innate fear of living., such that they completely withdraw and detach from the heartbeat of existence into their own worlds, manifesting as one of the various subtypes. As such they spend much of their time garnering information on one of various subjects, in the hopes (subconsciously) that at some point they will have the knowledge to rejoin the rest of the world intellectualizing what everyone else knows instinctually in order to live vicariously through their ideas and morals The Ubermensch, then, comes as a complete and utter rejection of this fixation. It is a realization, by Nietzsche, a likely 5 himself, that the refusal to form worldly attachments out of fear is to cower in response to the challenges presented by the world, being inherently a "life-denying" philosophy. Upon this realization it seems, he came to conceive of the Ubermensch idea. In near perfect alignment with the five's path towards growth, the concept behind the ubermensch is the rejection of needless abstraction and oversocialization, being held back by invented systems of morality, asceticism, and other forms of life-denial in order to live life to the absolute fullest. (5 ----> 8 integration) Why did I pick INTJ 5 over ESFP 8 for the ubermensch itself, then? Well I think that it's simple, the concept of the ubermensch cannot be understood merely as a type of personality, but rather as an ideal proposed by a man, himself, being imperfect, fallable, and with neurotic fixations. It is not any person on its own, but a result of the desires, ideals, and aspirations of Nietzsche, the man, meaning the goal when typing the concept is rather to ascribe the typing most faithful to Nietzsche himself as that is when it can be truly understood in all its glory.
