One of my all time favorite protagonists, he deserves more recognition. His whole arc is about his Fi. He’s struggles with his identity and hating who he thinks he is on the inside. He says he lets Vern abuse him because he thinks it’s what he deserves. At first he tries to fix this by associating his career with who he is, that being a lawyer (inferior Te), but in OZ he can only succeed by being the worst version of himself. It’s very interesting to see how he uses his Fi as a weapon to manipulate people, like he does with Vern, knowing him so well that he knew how he’d react in any given scenario, Fi-Ne, “you get to know a guy pretty well when he’s f****** you in the a**” We can even see him do this in the 2022 short, ‘Zo’ (would recommend), he knows Ryan so well that he knows all his insecurities and how to push his buttons, bringing up his dad, his brother, and Gloria. I could write a whole essay on Beecher’s character, 10/10 protagonist
