John Hammond tipo de personalidade mbti
Personalidade
"Que tipo de personalidade é John Hammond? John Hammond é um tipo de personalidade ENTJ em mbti, 3w4 - so/sx - em enneagram, em Big 5, em sociônicos."
Mentioned this over on the movie page too, but pretty shocked to see this man with a current consensus of ENFP (real concern: how skewed is people's idea of an ENFP on here generally?? I've seen so many obvious ENFPs typed as ESFJs on this site in addition to stuff like this...Idk man XP [ESFPs are another one I've seen getting short shrifted!]) I'm not fully certain of his type, but he's not a Ne-dom (we see this numerous times in how he contrasts with ENTP Malcolm - Hammond is constantly annoyed by Malcolm noting the other possibilities). I could see an argument for unhealthy INFP maybe (as described by some others in the comments), but I also feel like a lot about him feels very (borderline unhealthy) Ni driven in terms of fixating on a single vision and thinking he's whittled down and accounted for all the possibilities. I don't know that he's necessarily a Ni dom, but definitely feel like I could see an argument for stronger Ni over Ne. (Most Ne doms I know are notoriously like "you can never be sure, man...too many possibilities...oh what about this? or that? or this?" In a way that can almost be annoying to some other types. Malcolm is a good example of this throughout the book especially. Hammond keeps going "we accounted for that" and Malcolm's like, "impossible, man, because what about ____, ____, or _____?" "Controlled that too." "Impossible because you can't ever fully control that...." which increasingly infuriates Hammond. While some people might see Hammond trying to account for things as Ne brainstorming, to me it comes across much more like a Ni response in thinking if he accounts for enough factors he can whittle things down to a perfect product, whereas a Ne user tends to always leave open that that whittling down is inherently impossible because of all the possibilities - seen and unseen, that Ne naturally prefers to acknowledge. A higher Ne user would be more inclined to be excited by Malcolm's extrapolation of additional possibilities, like "ooo let's engage with that!" since Ne is how they play in a sense, whereas a higher Ni user would be more bothered because they've spent all this time and effort eliminating those pesky possibilities to get to the result they have, and would you please stop introducing unnecessary additionals? XP) In many ways Hammond reminds me of some less healthy ENTJs I've known where they're fixated on a Ni vision and forging ahead single-mindedly with Te-dom execution, in spite of feedback/data that the Ni vision might be flawed. I'll throw up an ENTJ vote for now because of that, though open to other thoughts on the ultimate type. ENFP just feels STRIKINGLY off for this dude. I feel like people may have just gone, "Quirky optimistic dreamer - must be an ENFP!" Like nooo haha
