Personalidade

"Que tipo de personalidade é Sam Guthrie "Cannonball"? Sam Guthrie "Cannonball" é um tipo de personalidade em mbti, 3w2 - sp/sx - 369 em enneagram, em Big 5, SEI em sociônicos."

- "Ah, ain't worried about gettin' hurt. It's failure I can't stand." Sam Guthrie, New Mutants #22 (1982) At first I considered E9 SEI for Cannonball as he is very much the glue of the team, looking out for everyone like a big brother, he's easygoing, diplomatic, and a warm person, yet there was a shift to his character being about success and failure. This shift has recontextualised a lot of his behaviours and so now i believe LSE sp3, or ESE sx3. - "It is to him that the others turn for comfort and support, in many ways he forms the team's center... but he is a proud young man, driven to succeed, to expect and demand from himself nothing less than the best."  Charles Xavier describing Sam Guthrie, New Mutants #21 (1983) I believe due to the death of his father, and the responsibility as "man of the house" for his family, has led to Sam developing a dependable persona, of a good boy who wants to do what is best and expected of him. Sam isn't overtly deceptive or vain, but he still desires people to think of him this way. He has a self-imposed expectation to be tough, smart, kind, and often overcompensating for this, and usually embarrassing himself. Even his initial appearance, allying with Donald Pierce, was rooted in this. "Every E3 sells an image, but this subtype sells the idea of someone who apparently doesn't care about their image; they avoid being self-assuming and often portray themselves as reliable, helpful and hard-working individuals." This fits Sam very well, and particularly the 'To be the best and To be useful' part of the SP3 trait structure matches, as well as other segments. At first I was iffy about LSE Sam, as he seemed far too lighthearted, but I'll slyly pass that off as Role Fe. And I've come around on Te base for Sam as he has a very reasoned, fact based approach to his relationships, often becoming annoyed when people aren't behaving as they are expected to. (Similar to an E1 in this regard) I also just don't find Sam passive enough for an E9. Other types I'd consider are as I mentioned ESE sx3, but I don't find Sam chameleonic enough for such a type. Plus Fi ignoring ESE is strange compared to Suggestive Fi which fits better. I'd then consider Sp6 or E9, as types that assimilate to groups. As for now I find Sp3 best suited.
