“I gotta prove it” “Prove what?” “That I’m not a mistake.” THE SEXUAL FOUR MISREPRESENTATION I see a lot of people that type this character as a 3 and it’s super easy to do if you have a mis understanding or even just a very basic generalization of ennegram. But this guy is anything but a 3. If there’s anything about the arc of this character is that he’s driven by his emotional torment. Throughout the whole series he wrestles with his emotions of not feeling good enough, being inadequate, and wanting to prove more by creating his own legacy. He’s simply driven by an envy of others being able to have a much better position than him, that others believe more in others while they don’t believe in him and he just wants to prove them wrong. Where’s the vanity? The lust? Sure he’s angry but only because it comes from a place where others see him as inferior to themselves and that makes him upset. He’s only seen as an inferior version of his father and a mistake. That becomes a sore spot for him as a character and he wants to simply be better than what other people perceive him to be. He’s so driven by his emotions that I can’t even see him as a 3 who are known for being cold with their emotions or shutting them off to not feel whatsoever. Even as the movies progress in the trilogy we see that he gets emotionally tormented by guilt and the fact that he feels that others don’t believe he’s good enough or strong enough. Threes attribute their success to external standards but this man has never given a thought about adhering to any standards of success the world has to offer him. He simply rebels against it out of a place of inferiority. His hatred, rage, and competitive nature makes him a good representation of a sexual 4 that stands out from most media representations.
