He comes off with an enormous amount of reasoning (Ti), but he expresses them with passion (Fi). He has a hunger for knowledge which is Ne-dom. ENTP's have Ne-Fe which makes them knowledgeable about the underlying meaning of social atmospheres, gives them a predictive capability of (the emotions of) other people (or society) and kinda makes them social butterflies. Ti-Si is being consistent with specific cold-hard logic and the ENTP dislikes it if it is breached. ENTP has a more logical authority/agenda, for example when people act in ignorance and/or hypocrisy so they can address that. They also have a thirst for scientific literature. They also like to express their thoughts (Ti-Si) for a wide range of people (Ne-Fe). ENFP's have Ne-Te which causes them to make new plans, new means of doing things, new connections and new forms of artistic expression. So they seek more objective knowledge. Te is more concerned about the outer objective world and ordering that. Fi-Si means being secure in one's individuality. This makes them precise in their values as well. ENFP has a more passionate authority/agenda, they can address their values more confidently and compare them with that of other people without being under threat. They have an accepting attitude towards others as long as their values are not breached. He relates much more to ENTP. Don't forget that Fe can dip into Te and Ti into Fi, but the default functions take the most conscious space in one's mind. As for his enneagram, he seemed like a type 7 at first, but he is seems more concerned about protecting what he loves rather than 'experiencing life to the fullest'. Both types are more future-oriented. Yes he is high in 7, but 8 pops up a bit more. He isn't afraid to confront people and has 'red energy' when he does so. He is on the more calm and gentle spectrum of the 8's so I'll go with 8w9.
