EDIT: As of his March 2024 revelation, it turns out that being robotic was far from his worst crime. ---- Previous post ---- Andrew Huberman is the first humanoid robot with a built-in Large Language Model to disseminate information to the public. He is the first prototype of his kind, and was designed to offer a more human-centric experience for those seeking advice on how they could tweak their habits to achieve optimal-maximal performance. However, this latest version of him could use some improvements; even ChatGPT behaves in a more human-like fashion than Huberman. It's not just WHAT he says, it's the WAY he says what he says: https://youtu.be/_zaov-vOMKY Seriously, what does he bring to the table that ChatGPT doesn't? There is no difference between Huberman and ChatGPT in human skin. Huberman is the epitome of robotic Te fact consumption, obsessed with optimizing and adjusting and min-maxing the minutiae of personal health and competitive performance to an almost obscene level of quantitative meticulousness, with an extreme reluctance to use his own independent Ti thinking. Whenever asked a question, Huberman references "the data suggest that..." or "there's some promising new studies in [...] a very prestigious journal". While it is understandable that a scientist (as one myself) might want to show data that supports their claim as much as possible, Huberman refuses to even have an opinion or use any reasoning from first principles to come to his own conclusions, preferring instead to refer to the data on even the most trivial matters. It's almost like he's incapable of producing a single original thought. He's not robotic in the way Sheldon Cooper is; Sheldon is superficially a robot, but internally is an emotional child. On the other hand, Huberman is superficially congenial and friendly, but he has the inner workings of a robot. Whenever asked a non-scientific question or a question of a private nature (which most of us would not even consider all that private), he deflects the question to something that can be analytically expressed or referenced from a paper. His need to hide his Fi even shows itself in the way he dresses -- he is covered in tattoos neck to wrist, but wears full-sleeved shirts so as not to expose his sense of self to the world. (He probably got those tattoos in the first place to pretend that he wasn't a robot.)
