Not typing yet because I want to wait til season end, but Episode 5 had an interaction that had me thinking INFJ. mild spoilers if you haven’t watched episode 5: Grover’s interaction with Ares really feels NiFe to me. He really cooked up a plan and played his cards perfectly in order to gain Ares’s favor. When he was talking to Ares he really seemed genuine, despite the goal of obtaining information. What he said must have a lot of truth to it. Because that is Grover’s nature: to be genuine. Also, great performance by Aryan Simhadri, because i think he really made Grover shine here. Grover uses his Fe to gauge how Ares felt and what he would be wanting to hear. He uses Ni to pick those small but significant details that aid in his persuasion tactic. Then put forth the information to form a Ti connected argument. You can see he had been forming a plan since the situation presented itself, but he also pieces his argument together as he goes, working with Ares’s responses and creating a more convincing and trustworthy performance. It’s a given that Annabeth is our go to girl for the strategy and planning, but Grover’s ability to connect with those around him and his affinity for making people feel heard is no joke. He had his head so in the game here. The careful ways he uses his Dom Ni and Tert Ti to make use of the information he can garner with Aux Fe makes him an unassuming charmer and strategist. Satyr’s have a knack for persuading others and i think that this is a spark of what we’ll find Grover is truly capable of. Also, the ringer at the end when Ares finally realized he had fallen victim to Grover’s charms! Priceless. Again, props to Simhadri and Copeland because this scene was fantastic.
