Ota's somnium is one of the most Ne things I've ever seen. He's taking what is likely a traumatic experience in real life and made it into a goofy, over the top anime. And he is absolutely ride or die for his close friends, which is very Fi. Everything he does, he does for his own sense of what's right, whether it's what's right for him or what's right for the people he loves. I definitely see some Ne-Te looping with his interactions with his mother, but when he realizes his mistakes and selfishness, he is deeply compelled to change by his personal love for her and his desire to be a better person. It's also worth noting that, at the end of the first game, he comes up with a schedule for himself to support his mother but doesn't give up his writing because that's what he loves. That's a really solid way to use Fi and Te together. It's a wonderful arc I wish had been explored more in the sequel. Like seriously, why didn't he change in 6 years?? He couldn't have at least published something? Come on.
