Doom-shroom is a mushroom plant who often serves as an explosive plant, exploding into a large mushroom cloud typically with an accompanying "DOOM!!" onomatopoeia, dealing massive damage to all zombies within its range. As of Plants vs. Zombies 3, Doom-shroom has appeared in six games, with a cameo appearance in one. Appearance-wise in both shape and color, Doom-shroom resembles the black velvet bolete (Tylopilus alboater), a bolete fungus in the Boletaceae family.
