On his novel Ada/ardor, the aim is to present a theory of what could be the world with another time system. The level of depth with which his “could be” version of Earth is reached and fleshed out inside the novel indicates to me Ni - perceiving and clinging to a likely possibility and fleshing it out more and more. The aim of the theory is focused on how time system is currently being used in the external world (around the law of 24 hours and measured by clocks). With his Te, he seeks to offer a new way to operate in regards to that system- not by clocks , but by an interval within the tickling of the needle of a clock. Humanity has organized time according to clocks, according to the “future”. For Van (the MC), the future does not exist, because nothing proves that we will be alive from one minute to another, from one second to another, from one moment to another. His Ni is also noticeable because it is concerned in seizing the “timeless” essence of things in contrast to Se who is focused on the “changing” environment. (‘𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.') For him, the future is something that should not be in the relation to ‘Time’ because its occurrence cannot be proven by our consciousness. -anyone can make theories but the driving factor of this theory circle back to the search of a timeless, unchangeable essence of things. In regards to typology, the basis is that Nabokov created a novel based on a new mode of operation in a system. Even countries and languages have changed in his time system theory. His Ni is higher than his Te because the simple fact that he wrote this book shows that he valued the personal attachment he had to his ideal more than its successful implementation in the world (Te). His time system is unnecessarily convoluted for people to go by it compared to what is currently applicable. A Te-dom would never invest this much of their time onto a vision with low prospects of being reality. -another reason why he has Te and not Ti is because he hates philosophy and soul-searching philosophical quests; (whereas Ti users are avid of truth for its own sake).
