I’ve been listening to him for forever and I’ve realized more and more over time that he’s just insanely Se/Ni. His music itself is pretty Se (combined with 9 core) as it’s super laid-back but super easy to get into and normally very pretty/pleasant sounding overall. His stuff just always gives off such great vibes. Plus his lifestyle and hobbies outside of music all point toward Se (surfing, film, sports). If you actually pay attention to his lyrics, though, they’re literally laden with Ni…. He’s always talking about the world in a sort of zoomed-out way, typically critiquing material-obsessed people and lifestyles. A lot of his messages all basically point to that classic notion of “hey we’re all just people at the end of the day, man.” He also has a ton of songs that tell stories with a sorta cryptic meaning behind the details—he clearly likes placing subtle clues/hints in his songs that point to a bigger, more thought-provoking picture. I guess the only other type I could possibly see for him is ENFJ behind ISFP. His Se and Ni are just so balanced it’s crazy. My guess though is that if he were an Fe dom, he’d be more likely to change his style over time to stay more relevant or offer a more attention-grabbing sound to reel you in. Yet his style has remained relatively similar over his career which could easily point to Fi.
