While he looks a lot like a stereotypical ESTP, we haven’t seen much of him yet. From his appearances in the story to his voice lines, I think SeFi suits his character better than SeTi. Let’s go over arguments. Se is obvious. He’s a practical person who prefers to “live in the moment and deal with things that are real and solid over the purely hypothetical”*. We see him acting fast and to the point (Te mentioned), always drawing his weapon first and only then do the talking. “This guy's a good one, and like me, he ain't much for talkin', preferring to express himself with his weapon. We're bound to hit it off!” He’s improvising. Even in the trailer he first jumps and then thinks how he will land (btw i’ve read an interesting theory that his splashart is an extension of his trailer where he finally figured out how to land and uses his lasso lmao). Boothill is also very straightforward and acts according to the current situation (as opposed to Aventurine, for example, who’s all about strategizing). He might have a few backup plans up his sleeve but they’re all very simple and already established. Se is settled. —— Moving on to Fi. I think it also shines very prominently through personality. 70% of his entire dialogue is about morals and personal values. He mentions on numerous occasions that galaxy rangers (him) don’t stick to universal ethics, but have shared “bottom line” and moral codes. He lives for himself and to carry out his vendetta. He himself decides what rules to follow and subjectively defines justice, as well as right and wrongs: “Might be that my pockets are filled with ill-gotten gains, but I stick to my principles! Rule one: Never use dirty money for pleasure. Rule two: Credit ain't the same as cash. And rule three: A bit of fun don't count as indulgence. I never break these rules!” Acheron confirms it in her voice line about Boothill as well: “His affiliation with the organization (Galaxy Rangers) is merely a cover. It's evident that he lives only for himself, and that is exactly why I have faith in him.” Just look at him. That’s not very Fe of him. He’s barely concerned about the way his actions affect other people as long as they are in line with his principles. That’s why he first robs people blind and then buys new phone for himself or gives credits to those in need. “Fi differs from Fe in that Fe is focused externally and is constantly asking, ‘How does the group feel about this?’, whereas Fi is focused internally and is constantly asking, ‘How do I feel about this?’”* So, while Ti is concerned with how society and people connect to each other and universal values, Fi operates on the bearer’s personal values. —— I’ll also briefly cover Te and Ni in this section, since i already wrote so much. As said before, he’s quick to judge and quick to act. Boothill has an on-hand approach to things, always drawing his gun first and only then evaluating the situation. We see it in action in almost every new encounter: Nameless, Acheron, Aventurine, Black Swan, etc. I also found a clip where Dang Heng talks about boothill during his promotion stream, where he says a very important thing: “While he (Boothill) prefers to solve problems through one-on-one duos, he isn’t one to kill needlessly. I believe the first rule in dealing with him should be to provide a reason not to shoot you.”** He’s a straightforward and reasonable person and FiTe is where his decisiveness comes from.
