[RENEE INTJ ARGUMENT PART 1] : I believe INTJ fits Renee Graves more based off the recent updates of the game The coffin of Andy and Leyley; the fact that her sole reason for choice in motherhood was not an accident but rather a way to prove herself and her image — while not wanting to fully step into that role, she did indeed favor Ashley as a girl, Renee I can understand at this point being mistyped as ISTJ based off toxic tendencies of an ISTJ mother revolving around tradition, stability and predictability. But we had gotten a whole new aspect of her character in recent updates. The core reason for my conclusion for INTJ < ISTJ, is that she had made Andrew her project, the one who she methodically set up to take care of Ashley while still a child. That abuse is far more psychological strategic and outcome-oriented as she intended on the ‘easy child’ of hers to be parentified and take care of her second child. If it were about rules, traditions and image solely (ISTJ) we would see her in their lives a lot more often in the sense of correcting behavior over her rules — but for the most part she’s utterly absent — she smiles in one of the photos shown in the new update holding Ashley — by contrast her firstborn Andrew is shown with her saying “ugh.. it’s a boy..” (ISTJ ) “maintain the household structure and proper family image” (INTJ) “construct outcomes through selective investment.” That is much more INTJ-coded. Andrew was not merely neglected — he was strategically shaped into a functional role. That’s very different from the average toxic ISTJ dynamic. >highly selective emotional investment >internalized idealization >attachment based on resonance with self-image delegation of emotional labor instead of direct caretaking. Renee effectively creates a system where: —she distances herself —Andrew absorbs responsibility —Ashley receives emotional centering —the family structure sustains itself through psychological conditioning That is very different from an Si-dom mother obsessively micromanaging everyone herself. But Renee’s behavior has an oddly detached abstraction to it. She doesn’t seem deeply invested in motherhood as a nurturing institution or even as a moral duty. It feels more like: motherhood as self-definition and image construction which is much more Ni/Fi flavored. Especially because unhealthy INTJs can absolutely pursue symbolic life roles without wanting the daily sensory/emotional reality of them. So the contradiction: “wanted motherhood conceptually, rejected motherhood practically” Leans toward INTJ quite a bit. That’s classic Ni idealization colliding with inferior Se reality. An unhealthy ISTJ is more likely to become: ~resentful ~rigid ~overburdened ~duty-bound while still remaining concretely engaged in the family system. Renee instead feels psychologically distant yet architecturally influential — like someone shaping dynamics from above rather than inhabiting them emotionally day-to-day. A lot of people stop at: strict + emotionally unavailable = ISTJ But the recent characterization of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley give Renee a far more abstract, selective, architect-like dynamic than a classic Si-dom parent.
