It’s more helpful to look at the inferior function with things like this usually. Te is the most decisive function, so it only makes sense that Inferior Te types (Fi dominant types) would be the most indecisive. Fi is a judging function that makes decisions, yes. But if there’s an imbalance of Fi over Te, it’s likely that the Fi dom will have a lot of trouble being CONFIDENT in asserting their decisions, and knowing it will WORK. Especially if the Fi dominant is on the Ne-Si axis, because this will make them think about all the different possibilities of what is best for them, and not stick to ONE route or plan. So INFP fits best here. ISFP not so much. They still may struggle with asserting what they want like INFPs do, but their Se-Ni axis means that their intuition is much more focused, meaning that they are better at seeing their own route. ISFP sees ONE path, and pursues it. INFP sees MULTIPLE paths, and struggles with finding their own destined route in life, Maybe an ISFP would be more indecisive if asked “which flavour candy would you want out of this selection?” And they could only pick one. This shows Si vs Se. INFP would just pick a flavour they already know and love, and whilst they may be fascinated with the other flavours, their Si tells them to just stick with what they know. The ISFP would feel restricted by the fact that they should only “pick one”, because they feel a need to try multiple flavours that they may never get a chance to try again. So since the ISFP naturally wants to try more sensory experiences and take chances with them, whereas the INFP wants to keep it safe, the ISFP is gonna take longer than the INFP. Usually though, when asked questions, it’s more intuitive possibility focused, so Ne makes more sense here.
