While I do understand the ISFJ votes because they associate being interested in the past with Si, i think that’s a misunderstanding. I see his interest in archaeology as a hyperfixation, which is much more evident of Ni and Ti in conjunction. He’s excited about what *new discoveries* about the past you *might find*. reads Ni not Si to me. Also the scene with Errol about opening the mines REALLY sold me against ISFJ. Eiland was pushing to open the mines back up while Errol (who i’d say is an actual ISFJ) seemed really uncomfortable with the idea. very non-ISFJ behavior there. An ISFJ would never push to open the mines back up instead of “focusing on polishing the museum” as Errol was suggesting. Especially Si-Fe would notice how uncomfortable Errol was with the idea and stick to what is “safe”. Eiland saw the big picture that opening up the mines would add even more value to the museum and pushed, although gently (Ni-Fe) reaching a compromise with Errol that would still benefit the future of the town and museum (that the mines will be opened back up when the town reaches stone level) while he is really into archeology, i don’t think that’s evident of Si. his “sounding like he’s reading a placard” as another user analyzed 100% seems like Ti to me. and he’s so excited about all the things you *might end up finding* as i said before, i think it’s just his hyperfixation/interest. he doesn’t seem Si dom at all to me. definite Ni dom. his excitement lies in *uncovering the past*, NEW discoveries about the past. total Ni over Si. Also he’s a TOTAL e5 which is a lot more common in INxx than ISxx
