[1/3] 𝐉𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐘 ─ 𝐄𝐒𝐈 𝐒𝐗𝟒 𝐄𝐅𝐕𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐒 - I don’t see any form of display or drive from Introverted-Intuition, both in MBTI and Socionics. Characters with dark, intense, or traumatized emotional states are routinely mistyped as Ni-dominants or Ni-users simply because PDB communities conflate "having a singular tragic focus" or "mysterious/disturbed presence" with Ni. In reality, she is the most classic Fi-base. Just because she telepathically absorbs minds, doesn’t means that her baseline ego must be NiFe. She didn't choose her telepathic sensitivity; it’s a physical condition that metastasized because of her internal grief over her sister. Powers ≠ Information Metabolism Fi base: Unlike the comic book origin, Jean’s whole crusade in the film is triggered by intense personal loss—her sister, Sara Grey, was kidnapped and killed during experiments by Damage Control. She’s quick to make judgments, opinions on people, she looked at Peter and jump into conclusions that he have the thing that she doesn’t have now, a relationship, connections because she craves it, quickly shaping him as her “enemy.” She goes to decide that: "I Suffer, Therefore the World Pays" “An ESI is often too quick to commit “ethical violence”. The ESI, like no other type, knows how to “pin to the wall” the subject of his accusation upon the very first offense, not leaving this person even the smallest leeway to justify himself.” She doesn't join a team, follow Xavier's philosophy, or care about broad political causes. Her entire motivation is raw emotional pain turned into aggressive payback against Metzger and Damage Control. She projects her internal agony onto New York, tearing through the city and possessing people because her personal world was shattered. Unhealthy IF SX4 blueprint. "Introverted feeling is continually seeking an image which has no existence in reality, but which it has seen in a vision. […] It manifests as a subconscious boundary, a silent, impenetrable wall, or an explosive, passionate outburst when the inner value is violated." Her core state is driven by inner pain built around the memory of her sister. When that core value is violated by Damage Control, it's rather an "explosive, passionate outburst" where the external world merely serves as the canvas for her internal intensity than calculative response. In the end she realizes after experiencing Peter’s loss by intervening in his mind, she realizes Peter isn't her enemy or a weapon of Damage Control, he’s carrying the exact same broken, unhealed trauma she is carrying. Experiencing this directly from her own point of view and values finally makes her fully embracing the fact that he is not her enemy that she kept insisted in her mind. Se creative: Instead of floating around setting up long-term strategic plan, she uses her power with immediate, aggressive force. She forcibly hijacks Bruce Banner’s mind to turn him into a wrecking ball, possesses a squad of Hand ninjas to swarm Spider-Man, and breaks straight into DODC using direct pressure to smash through any barrier standing in the way of her goals. She mobilized her power directly; through sheer force of will to crush the threat. Also seen in the way she uses her power, she doesn't search for the most ideological candidate or meticulously plan out her hosts. Instead, she relies on whoever is closest, grabs the most immediately effective option, and improvises as she goes. An ESI's Se manifests as a tool. When an ESI's core personal values (e.g. her sister) is shattered, their Se becomes raw, volatile, and protective/destructive. Her reaction to grief aligns with how Gamma/FiSe actually behaves under extreme psychological distress. "His strength is flexible, sophisticated, it aims to be relevant to the situation... Creative Se uses force and influence as a tool or instrument to serve the Base function, applying pressure tactically rather than strategically." — Function Dynamics Creative Se is opportunistic, tactical, and improvisational—it focuses on exerting influence using whatever assets or people are immediately at hand to achieve a specific goal. Also, she uses psychological cruelty to protect her boundaries; When Peter tries to stop her, she attacks his core emotional bonds. She enters MJ's mind and tricks Peter into thinking MJ remembers him—inflicting maximum psychological damage just to make him back off. This manifests as ESI’s need to “weaponize the personal relationships” to erect an unbreakable boundary. Signs of Ne-PoLR: An ESI's Vulnerable Ne struggles with seeing alternative solutions or stepping back to consider unpredictable long-term fallout. Jean doesn't see or care about the bigger picture, or next steps of her actions and also not concerned with the fact that attacking DODC and causing mass panic in NYC will turn the entire government and public into anti-mutant extremists. She is locked into save/avenge Sara at all costs.
