IN THE TYPOLOGY EVALUATION SYSTEM, SUPERFICIALLY-BASED GUESSES ARE CONSIDERED ESPECIALLY HEINOUS. IN PERSONALITY DATABASE, THE INTERNET USER WHO TYPES THIS VICIOUS POST IS A NERD WITH AN ELITE OBSESSION KNOWN AS THE STRAW-MAN TYPOLOGY FALLACY. THIS IS HUDSONEGILBERT’S SIDE SHOW. DISCLAIMER: …I will readily admit that I haven’t been an active follower of this show as most of what I’ve watched has either been sitting in on it with my fiancé or if it comes on the television during my night shifts; even I can’t provide the most tangible examples, I hope I can at least somewhat constructively contribute to the conversation nonetheless. FORMER SERGEANT MUNCH MBTI - Ti-Ne-Si-Fe —> Ti-Fe: I feel that former Sergeant Munch demonstrated potential Introverted Thinking by his having been naturally capable of “[dissecting] and [analyzing] situations with impressive confidence, precision, and accuracy”, having “easily [come up] with elegant solutions to problems” — Ugh, the Wiki entry I’m referring to here has only so much on former Sergeant Much, but just based off what I have in mind, dominant Introverted Thinking makes sense for him given his cognitive dedication to sifting through and analyzing as much information for the cases as possible, discerning logical coherency to help get SVU on the right investigative track. —> Ti-Ne: Former Sergeant Munch most likely demonstrated auxiliary Extroverted Intuition through his ultimately “optimistic and resourceful attitude” and his having “[known] how to bring good ideas to fruition” — Ugh, ok, I hate to make a potentially stereotypical connection here, but I cannot deny that former Sergeant Munch’s knack for conspiracy theories might have been a good indicator of his potential auxiliary Extroverted Intuition as to play a further role into his ability to troubleshoot. —> Ne-Si: And then as far as the repressed, negative attributes to former Sergeant Munch’s thought process as potentially associated with tertiary Introverted Sensing go, he might’ve been “resigned to fear”, having “[sat] on unresolved feelings/situations indefinitely” and repressed his personal life details by having “[cited] negative past experiences” — Again, my memory from what I have watched of L&O: SVU is spotty and only somewhat reinvigorated by what I’ve read on the Wiki entry, but as it would seem, former Sergeant Munch had a traumatic and challenging past with his father and even in his schooling, such topics having been a source of unresolved emotions for him. ENNEAGRAM - 5w6 so/sp —> Type 5: Actually, former Sergeant Munch demonstrated himself to be quite a healthy, developed Enneagram type 5, at least, from what I recall- if anything, he had a “tendency” to “‘detach’” as he experienced “a sort of separation between [himself] and [his] emotions” as his “most primitive defense” — Again, former Sergeant Munch’s more maladaptive emotional detachment could have been pertained to his repressed personal baggage; when his depressing background came back to haunt him in his field of work, former Sergeant Munch struggled to communicate such things with vulnerability. —> Wing 6: I feel that Wing 6 was generally more applicable to former Sergeant Munch as he was seemingly a more “systematic [thinker]” and had a fairly natural inclination for working “within a system” — I apologize for invoking another stereotype, but I feel that former Sergeant Munch’s career is a testament to his having Wing 6, especially as his police work through SVU provides an established structure for him to apply his knowledge and ideas through. —> so/sp: This might be a bit of a wild stab, but I’m going to guess that former Sergeant Munch’s survival fixation was on “the contribution zone”, having possibly felt that it was “the only way [he could] connect” — Again, I feel that former Sergeant Munch’s conspiracy theories and general banter might point to his having had a dominant Social instinct as he seemingly valued communicative abilities and being able to contribute his knowledge to social justice.
