The theme of E9 is that they don’t take action towards finding themselves and acknowledging their own needs and desires (this is different from E2 as 2s minimize their needs in order to not be dependent and be seen as someone who IS needed and desired.) The 9s lack of action toward discovering themselves is an act of self-abandonment, they don’t see themselves as being that important (contrary to E2s self-importance.)
