Where are people getting Te-dom for him? Or inferior Fi? He was way more concerned about maintaining strong social bonds with everyone at the precinct and helping people grow rather than optimising it for efficiency and productivity (unlike Gates). Compare him with Gates - she didn't like having Castle around because she was concerned that his undisciplined and impractical approach was compromising efficiency within the precinct. Montgomery on the other hand didn't care about this whatsoever, he was focused on how Castle's presence was impacting everyone else (especially Beckett) and he wanted to keep Castle around because he saw how good he was for her and how he could help her improve as a person. He was very socially aware and well tuned to the interpersonal dynamics of the team. I didn't see any Te in him at all.
