Maybe it will entertain you for a while." he IMMEDIATELY falls back onto the past that he knows, and relies on it to guide his future, and ultimately, guard northland. he would cling to the things he knows, even if he gets the chance to prove otherwise. novio is also someone who concerns himself deeply with northland's tradition and history, and that he would refuse to leave northland to fend for itself, Ever. it also states within his character files (IV): "(...) It is my duty to protect this white and beautiful land. In order to safeguard Northland, I'm willing to pay any price. And I mean any price." (if that wasn't enough, let's also not forget the fact that he could NOT accept the fact that amelie died as an immortal and decided to just run the hell away..... To his birthplace.
