Dark Academia is literally about the idealization, mythologizing, and totemizing of knowledge, intellect, and the classical and current greats of literature and academia generally. It’s a strong drive to be amongst the shining stars of scholars, and also the pursuit of some sort of shared, prestige camaraderie and perhaps even arrogance about being amongst the elite. It’s VERY So 5 coded, supplemented by the Sx5 hyper romanticizing and looking for some sort of great ideal in both the intellectual or romantic sense. Also, LEVF certainly best fits Sx5, but I also see it as viable for So5 as well due to it being LExx, which literally is the function combination of pedagogy and they are amongst if not the most intellectual type, constantly conceptualizing and creating a universal philosophy or principle that becomes their orientation for how they perceive the world and also how they wish to impart these learnings and insights onto others. LEVF > LVEF for Dark Academia overall, more focused on pure knowledge, learning, intellectual relationships and teaching (LExx) over the theorizing and implementation of logical schematics (LVxx).
