Coming into this, I had a hard time believing that Sorkin was an INTJ. I only knew his later interviews where he seemed to be this very outgoing eccentric character and so different from myself. But then I watched a Charlie Rose interview of his from shortly after the release of A FEW GOOD MEN an odd 30 years ago and started seeing his mannerisms made me realize that I had only known the well integrated Aaron Sorkin in his later years. Now the 30 yo Aaron Sorkin is a lot closer to myself atm. He sees people (Jack Nicholson) as this concept more than as a person and in general does not speak about how he gets along personally with everybody, but how they fill their role in the whole of this film. All that makes me think that he must be a single observer. What I most prominently saw displayed was his focus on progress and the future (NiSe axis). When talking about the past he likes to give the same anecdote of how he found this typewriter and just started writing. A single moment that launched his future career so to speak. I don't know if he had his cocaine issues before or after, but intuitively I feel like he's had a rough patch behind him that he does not want to be reminded of. When talking about his work he does something many INTJs do which stems from Fi child: he plays down his previous work and says it's not good enough and how his current work is way better. On collaborating with Rob Reiner, he focuses on what works for Reiner's vision (Te) and how to change his own NiFi vision to work on screen. DISCLAIMER: I don't type people INTJ just because that's what I want them to be. I want the truth! But some of you can't handle the truth!
