Okay so let's explain his cognitive functions :) Also side rant, he deserves a much better fanbase that recognises the deeper context of BNHA rather than their stupid ships and kinks and the comic-relief scenes that they want. He receives so much unnecessary and undeserved harassment - it's sickening and disappointing. Majority of the fandom doesn't even appreciate the development of the characters, they just wanna see their hot bakuhoe or their daddy todoroki and it pisses me off bc now people think I'm one of those weird Todoroki fangirls but I just relate deeply relate to him. Horikoshi is, supposedly, trying focus on the problems with today's society, how people are flawed, what causes them to have certain tendencies etc. but most people don't really recognise that- ANYWAYS before I over-exhaust this side rant, to the functions! [DISCLAIMER] I usually have trouble explaining my points so if this doesn't seem reasonable pls spare me bc my mind only makes sense to me lol Ni dom: First of all his writing style effectively captures the inside minds of his characters. All backstories that I've seen revealed have never come as a surprise to me. Not only that - the character's motives are so strong and developed. He's never written a villain character without some kind of deep motive derived from the result of their own pain. I assume he has the idea every one in society has a reasons for their behaviour and possibly tries to portray that in BNHA. This is also seen in Stain's character (who is supposed to be dark hero due to his hatred towards heroes who lack passion and a strong sense of just - the ones who are in it for their own selfish and foolish benefits.) and in the vigilantes manga which tells the story if illegal heroes. He mentioned writing the full plot of BNHA out fully and then later adding on (organised mind). Fe Aux: This one is actually quite noticeable if you think about it. He's written up so many characters with so many different personalities and backstories and has done it effectively aswell. I don't think many people with Fi would be able to create so many different personas and never lose sight of it. If we look at how many different paths the manga has taken, we can see how detailed each character actually is (even the underrated ones.) I don't think there's a single character in BNHA who doesn't match up well. To add on to this, (ALSO MANGA SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO DON'T READ THE MANGA) the protagonist (Izuku Midoriya) doesn't want to kill or fight villains; he wants to find out why they've taken that course and try to alter it. The fact that he is always noticing when people need saving and always wanting to make people feel safe definitely shows his Fe and since Horikoshi has self-inserted into Midoriya. This might have been his way of trying to open up society's eyes to things like this by creating a fictional persona to represent himself. Also to make people realise that bad people generally don't exist and there are only those who make bad decisions. I mean, an Author with an Fi might not be able to successfully write up the protagonist with Fe. Simply because they wouldn't have a deep enough understand due to the fact that they are more self-aware and focus on their own emotions. The little comics about him and his colleague in the smash manga also show us a bit about what he's like and how he definitely has an Fe func. (Auxilliary more so.) Ti tertiary: I don't have too much evidence for this but I'll try to explain as best as I can. He said that he has the whole story planned out and he makes changes as he goes along. Idk but this kinda represents Ti to me bc INFJs don't usually use Ti to work in a step-by-step orderly fashion which is why he decided to develop the bigger picture and then add the detail. He also didn't explain why (specifically) Bakugou's prototype and current character is so juxtaposed until it was brought up in an interview because it seems like his thinking process is internal. Horikoshi changed the characters continuously (hence the prototypes) until he was satisfied. He added in the emotions and values into the characters first which is probably why he was unhappy with Bakugou's previous persona and thought it was "too much". He was more focused on their motives instead. His logical reasoning is also all directed to the character that he self-inserted into. Characters like Bakugou who have a lot of talent seem almost illogical due to how great they are at everything (but I understand that Bakugou puts all of his effort into everything he does) yet the protagonist has made such little yet so much progress within such a large timespan which shows that he isn't unrealistic. Se inferior: He doesn't seem to pay much attention to outer-physical changes. He knows enough about what happens around him, hence his accurate grasp of society but aside from that there is little Se in him as far as I know.
