Okay crew, I have an argument for why I think SX8 is the most suitable type for an influencer. An argument for SX8 by a SX8. Side note, even though I don't feel particularly interested on being an influencer, I feel like I could do it pretty well and I can see why other fellow SX8s would feel drawn to that. One of the most well known traits of SX8 is wanting to have influence over their environment and making an impact. And well, the mere word "influencer" itself is self-explanatory: someone who has influence. Influencers are also very focused on being the center of attention and taking over the social media scene, which is SX8 to the core. SX8s are also incredibly charismatic & magnetic, and to be an influencer, that's a must. However, 8s tend to struggle with vulnerability, and likewise, a lot of influencers don't like sharing the darker, more vulnerable parts of their lives. The core desire of 8 also makes sense: freedom/independence. If you're an influencer, you can do literally anything you want without it significantly affecting you. You can travel wherever you want, do any crazy plan that comes to your mind, you can literally do whatever you want and still live a financially sustainable life. Another reason why I think 8 is the most fitting enneagram for an influencer is the sin of lust. If you're an influencer, having a hedonistic lifestyle centered on intense, fun experiences and doing a whole lotta crazy shït is expected. And to be honest, that might be the reason many influencers got into content creation: you're gonna get into many more fun experiences with that than with other jobs. That's why I don't think SX3 is the most suitable type for an influencer: 3 ain't hedonistic enough. In unhealthy cases, a SX8 might want to be an influencer just in order to earn a couple mill while still living an entirely lustful life. Just because most influencers are image-conscious doesn't mean that it's a 3-ish job, a 3 fix can explain that part well enough. For the rest of it, being or wanting to be an influencer sounds much more SX8 than SX3 to me. Okay, I think this is all my argument for SX8.
