To be honest, OPS is a one of the better systems I've seen. Obviously there are issues (it's not actually objective lol) and they seem eager to extract money from people. That being said, the framework is pretty innovative and solid. "Human Needs" (gather/organise/tribe/self) are a useful way to understand the motives of each function, and the "Animals" are also interesting as an explanation for intra-type variations, such as looping, "developed" inferior function, and other differences. The system itself is convoluted as **** and I'd never pay for their services, but it is a vast improvement on stereotypes and definitions that nobody agrees on. I think people are put off by all the jargon and the fact that Dave and Shan are kind of shitlords. They don't treat any type or function as particular special, which I think is at odds with what people want to hear about themselves.
