𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐒𝐏 𝟓 The whole point of A Christmas’s Carol is to show Ebenezer’s redemption. He is a mean, cold man who lacks sympathy. I believe he is a 5w6 because he shows more of a sp 5 than a 6. Yes, he is afraid of poverty and death but the description of E5 suits him better. 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝. "It's enough for a man to understand his own business, and not to interfere with other people's. Mine occupies me constantly." Scrooge’s past is the reason why be becomes distant and reserved. We see that he spent most of his childhood in boarding school. Even on Christmas, everyone went home except for him. He was often forgotten and he felt that his parents did not care much for him. Belle-“Your own feeling tells you that you are not what you were. That which promised happiness when we were one in heart, is fraught with misery now that we are two. How often I have thought of this I will not say. It is enough that I HAVE thought of it, and can release you.” Scrooge-“Have I sought release?” Belle-“In words, no, never. In a changed nature, in an altered spirit. I release you Ebenezer. You are a free man I let you go with a full heart. You may have pain in this, a very, very brief time, and you will dismiss the memory gladly as an unprofitable dream from which it happened well that you awoke. May you be happy in the life you have chosen.” 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝟓 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥.
