he is a great character, his death was really sad to me. while between him and alexei i generally like alexei more, bob's death was so sad in the fact that he was a second away from surviving. he was so close. and then just like that we see him get mauled. it's really depressing to think about, especially when as the character he is he subverted the common trope of the mom's new boyfriend being a complete butt. bob was really great to will, jonathan, and joyce, so it's not only sad to see him just gone like that but it also adds a car onto the collective trauma train shared by the byers. :(
