Last year, I wrote a comment arguing that Beast Boy is an ENFP based on random episodes I had recently seen on TV. However, I’ve realized that my initial assessment was incorrect. After rewatching the series, I think Beast Boy is an Se-dom - Rather than getting excited about ideas, Beast Boy craves experiences and actively seeks them out, and his first instinct is to dive into action rather than come up with unique solutions to solve problems. Many of the episodes that focus on Beast Boy are either about him wanting to enjoy the physical world around him or causing a problem because he was quick to act without considering the consequences and then pays the price. He and Cyborg are similar in this regard - For instance, when the team is trapped in Mad Mod’s school and decide to search for an exit, Cyborg gets his sonic cannon ready and wants to “keep blasting until they make one” but Robin cautions against doing this because the place is likely booby-trapped. Seconds later, Beast Boy marches off without thinking, boasting that he’s going to take Mad Mod down, and he gets hypnotized as a result. Like Cyborg (an Se-dom) Beast Boy instinctively acted without realizing the problems his actions could cause (inferior Ni). A running gag throughout the series is that Beast Boy tends to come to bizarre conclusions when he’s trying to figure something out, like when the team is unsure of why Robin is working for Slade and Beast Boy keeps coming up with unrealistic explanations for this. The episodes I had recently watched before writing my initial argument featured this joke, and I now see I was too quick to assume that this was a comical depiction of an Ne-dom brainstorming, without actually looking closer to determine whether he was using Ne or Ni, which was a mistake on my part. Watching those scenes again, they definitely seem indicative of inferior Ni - Beast Boy comes to laughable Ni conclusions and mostly uses his intuition during stressful situations (such as when the tower is under attack, or after Robin just betrayed him) indicating that this is Beast Boy's inferior function, not his first instinct. If anyone would like further clarification on why I now think Beast Boy is using inferior Ni in those scenes, I recommend checking out the replies to my original comment - Pong Lenis did a really good job explaining why the examples I mentioned are actually indicative of Ni rather than Ne: https://www.personality-database.com/comment/4892701?profileID=2647
ชีวประวัติ
The son of two scientists studying wildlife in Africa, Beast Boy was infected as a child with a mysterious disease, the experimental cure for which gave him the ability to turn into any animal, but permanently dyed him green. His parents drowned in a boating accident — Beast Boy being too inexperienced to save anyone but himself — and he was subsequently adopted by the Doom Patrol. It wasn't a stable family, and Beast Boy subsequently ran away after he hit puberty. Beast Boy is the unofficial comedian of the team, though most of his teammates consider his typical array of jokes and pranks to be pretty groan-worthy, and it's implied that, like his comics counterpart, he's one of the "jokes to hide the pain inside" types. Whether he is or isn't, he is the youngest, in terms of behavior, of the team, obsessed with video games and goofing off, which means he's often chewed out by Robin. A devout vegetarian: as he has been just about every animal under the sun, he finds eating any kind of meat to be too similar to cannibalism for his liking. (Though it might be more accurate to a call him a vegan- he eats tofu eggs rather than regular ones in "Nevermore"- but the show always refers to him as a vegetarian.)
