Kurzweil researches the topic of singularity through the empirical lenses. His friend Ben Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNET and most likely a 5w4, believes we can teach AGI to be more empathic than humans. He hypothesizes that humans will be able to reach higher consciousness, as a result. Kurzweil rejects this, but the “utopian” idea he has of reaching the singularity is that there will be more job opportunities. He argued that automation in the 80’s and 70’s has statistically increased the amount of jobs in the country. Not even being an Si dom, but believing we will need jobs and that there will be more statistically speaking is either core or wing 6. I really don’t understand the 5w4 for him.

Raymond Kurzweil ( KURZ-wyle; born February 12, 1948) is an American author, computer scientist, inventor and futurist. Aside from futurism, he is involved in fields such as optical character recognition (OCR), text-to-speech synthesis, speech recognition technology, and electronic keyboard instruments. He has written books on health, artificial intelligence (AI), transhumanism, the technological singularity, and futurism.
