How strange... I've never been torn between 9w8 and 8w9 before, but here I am! Sabrina is so interesting and contradictory. She doesn't like battling, yet she became a gym leader and wants to be the best gym leader. She enjoys peace and calm, but she went out of her way to take away the fighting dojo's gym status. I don't really see 5. For now I'm kind of leaning toward 9w8. What I see is someone who *thinks* she needs to be the strongest gym leader (for some reason, maybe to prove that she has worth to world, as a psychic) but in reality she is imprisoned by that desire. What she really wants (and needs) deep down, is love, peace, and friendship. As she gets older in the games, you kind of see a bit of this growth from her, from a rigid gym leader to a more open, expressive, and friendship-seeking gym leader (Johto), to an actress in Unova where she has the freedom to fully and dramatically express herself. I'm probably rambling haha but ultimately I'm leaning toward 9w8.

Sabrina (Japanese: ナツメ Natsume) is the Gym Leader of Saffron City's Gym, known officially as the Saffron Gym. She hands out the Marsh Badge to Trainers who defeat her. She possesses psychic abilities and specializes in Psychic-type Pokémon.
