Defo not core 9. I see core 1 more. Any subtype of 9 doesn't fit Shiraishi perfectly- the only one I see really working is so9 but social instinct before self preservation instinct doesn't seem alright with me. Plus, core 9's motivation of wanting peace isn't exactly the most present in Shiraishi. If anything, Shiraishi seeks correctness and moral high ground. Her actions in the anime are all about doing what's right and being "perfect" to her own self. She rejects any sort of negative emotion until it oozes out painfully when Yamada presses her about it. Take the scene where Yamada (in Shiraishi's body) sees the bullying that Shiraishi endures at the hands of her peers. She's said nothing about it. She doesn't want to worry anybody. She keeps it in for herself. When Yamada presses Shiraishi about it, Shiraishi lashes out against Yamada. She's stubborn about it. The reason she might look like a 9 more than a 1 is because 1's can look like 9's, especially self preservation 1's. I've posted the descriptions for self preservation 1 and social 9. Shiraishi definitely has a lot of Melancholy traits. It's almost enough to consider Mel-Phleg, but she has a lot more Phlegmatic tendencies with how she goes with the flow and allows people to do things. Her Melancholic support kicks in when under stress/being pressed. Her emotional turbulence is kept under wraps. She's careful of the actions others do when it becomes serious, and is concerned about not messing things up when the situation calls for it. Take for example when Odagiri is introduced. Yamada has no idea why his powers switched when she kissed Odagiri, but Shiraishi seemed to pick it up pretty quickly. She implores that Yamada not kiss Odagiri due to the very unfortunate circumstances he'd be put in if he did (also very Ni guided example). When it's known that Yamada did in fact kiss Odagiri before, she full on SLAPS Yamada. She's very stern, but because her Phlegmatic tendencies are so strong, her Melancholy becomes muddled, but it's definitely there. The two links I provided are all about temperaments.
