You guys are crazy. https://youtu.be/bkp_cMPYpqg Her approach towards her work screams SiTe. She analyses in a very detached and structured way her method and the requirements of pulling off the role she did and collaborating with Wong Kar Wai (eg. When she said that considering the film's short runtime, one must perform "precisely and tactfully"). That's SiTe. Watch how she insists on calling WKW "Director Wong." They have obviously developed some sort of relationship between them, but she still prefers maintaining a highly professional tone, which is characteristic of high Te users. The way she expresses herself and her rapport with fellow actor Chang Chen makes me think she has developed a healthy relationship with her Fi ("repay me with what he has felt"). Now, she talks a lot about how she cherishes the freedom and room for ideas and liberty WKW grands her saying that every brilliant actor should crave such freedom. That's aspirational/inferior Ne right there. She enjoys and cherishes that freedom, but it is perfectly clear that it doesn't come naturally to her, she is not used to working that way and this is more of a lesson or a step towards personal growth for her. All types often feel gravitated toward their inferior function - they find it charming and tempting. That's the relationship Gong Li appears to have here with Ne. Which is all around why I consider her to be an ISTJ.
